Sainte Marie du Mont House is a place - my home.

In 2015, my late husband and I renovated an abandoned 1950’s house situated hilltop on Paris Mountain, South Carolina. Our mutual love of cooking and international style spurred of Together, we christened it Sainte Marie du Mont House in honor of a commune in Normandy, France where American soldiers and French civilians fought side by side with great dignity, enduring D-Day. The house became a shared homage to our parent’s,
generation,  also known as the Silent Generation.

After my husband’s death in 2018, I retired as a development officer for non-profits and decided to use my past experience to create something new. I wanted my new career path to share my husband and my mutual passion of vintage styles, home décor and clothing.

Sainte Marie du Mont House was established in 2021. My services include buying and selling of vintage items, nonprofit consulting, and events.

Since that time, I have assisted the Historic Greer Depot renovation, the curating of Retromarketplace’s vintage clothes, consulting with the Travelers Rest Farmers Market Board/Staff and managing special events in my home and other locations.

Wherever I travel, I bring something back or I thrift local shops and estates sales to restock  quality vintage clothing. Vintage glassware, china, silverware and linen are also considered for my entertaining collection.

The purpose of launching this website is to expose others to the beauty and the refinement of the past which has become lax in today’s society. One’s own personal style can be developed by applying the simplicity, grace, and comfort from the past. Self-confidence is the product you will get by creating your own style of dressing and living.
